Hi, I'm Shae and I run two brands. One is a dark romance publication I've been writing for a while now, and one is this. Every week there's an essay, pins, posts, social interactions, and every week something gets cut so the rest can make it out.

(Not gonna lie, it's usually the linking because I find it so unnecessarily time consuming.)

I know what that costs me. I have a catalog of essays that should definitely be pointing at each other and aren't. I've cited studies I half-remembered because finding the actual source meant opening twelve tabs at midnight, and I'm a new mom to a toddler — I do not have midnight to spare.

The tools that fix this do exist. They cost a hundred dollars a year (or a month!), per site, and they're built for people running SEO operations, not people writing dark romance essays. I've honestly closed those pricing pages more times than I want to admit. I always get a little hopeful, a little desperate, until reality hits me with my dusty wallet.

So, I decided to build the thing I needed.

What started out as an admin console solely to help me with my content is now Velurium. The verification engine runs on my own archive first — every feature gets used on The Scarlet Pages before anyone else ever sees it, and if it doesn't hold up there, it doesn't ship, full stop.

The free tier isn't a trial. It's there because I remember being the person who couldn't pay for the premium version.
